Cork Printer marks rebrand with wide format install

Cork company Urban Design and Print (formerly Prontaprint) has taken delivery of a Roland XC540
print and cut device, marking a total company rebranding and entry in to the wide format market.

Ciaran Buckley Barry, M.D. at Urban has taken the reigns of the successful business built up under the Prontaprint brand by his parents Nuala Buckley and Dave Barry.

The decision to enter the wide format arena completes the goal to service their customer base in the five key areas of graphic design, web design, print solutions, exhibition graphics and signage.
“We considered a number of options before deciding on the Roland XC540” commented Ciaran.
“The machines ability print and cut in one pass, together with its suitability for indoor and outdoor graphics, signs, vehicle wraps, pop-up displays etc, meant it fitted in very well with our expansion plans.
The economic running costs of the Eco Sol MAX inks and high production speeds were also key in opting for the Roland, supplied by Dublin based supplier, Print and finishing Equipment
The Roland install compliments the current kit portfolio of litho and digital sheetfed equipment at Urbans premises on the Doughcloyne industrial estate in Wilton, Cork
