New Polar 66 for Camden Street's Daintree Paper

Wedding stationery producer Daintree Paper, located in the heart of Dublin on Camden Street,  has invested in a Polar 66 Guillotine, describing the transfer from smaller, cheaper systems as “like switching from a moped to a Harley Davidson”.

This comparison from director Paul Barnes is attributed to the robustness and reliability of the machine. “Its accuracy in cutting, the weight and the clamping all combine to ensure it does a great job time and time again. Heidelberg has just started to serve Ireland direct and we have found them very good to deal with. The two days training was almost overkill. We really have been very happy with every aspect of the product and service we have received,” he says.

“We decided to treat ourselves this year and now we wonder why we didn’t do this ages ago!”
Daintree describes itself as exclusive, ethical and inspiring and this often means that its stationery products are bespoke sizes so that the Polar guillotine would rarely be required to handle standard cuts. But its strength is that it can cope with whatever is thrown at it.

The Polar 66 is an entry level guillotine, ideal for the small commercial printer and copyshop. It is programmable and easy to use on piles with a diameter of up to 67cm. It has a flat screen control panel with easily legible symbols and a memory capacity for up to 99 programs. It features manual back gauge position with electronic hand wheel.

Heidelberg equipment meets all the latest Health & Safety requirements and can carry out checks for customers on a six monthly basis as part of a service contract.
