Newly formed Conversion to represent Highcon and Scodix in Ireland

Conversion, a recently formed company, headed up by former KBA director Mark Nixon, have been selected to distribute the world’s first fully automated, production digital cutting & creasing machine, the Highcon Euclid& the highly acclaimed Scodix digital enhancement suite of products in Ireland & the UK.
Conversion is led by managing director Mark Nixon who has previously directed Scitex, Creo & most recently KBA. Marketing and demand creation will be driven by Maria Machera who has extensive experience in B2B and B2C projects.
The print market is continuously shifting and new markets are opening up. Some elements remain constant though: the need to be different, to offer end users new options and continue to drive efficiencies in the production process.“Conversion was founded to service these very needs” said Nixon.
“The Highcon Euclid is simply a revolution in the post press arena. Not only have Highcon shortened the time to first cut & creased sheet from days to minutes, they have also significantly improved the efficiency and flexibility of the process. This technology paves the way for packaging companies to stay competitive, creative and innovative while answering the requirement for ever reducing run lengths,” continues Nixon.
Chris Baker, VP Sales & Business Development for Highcon worldwide commented that Mark and Maria’s extensive sales and marketing experience in the print market, more specifically the technology market, was paramount in the selection process. "Both have served in lateral markets andboth therefore understand the impact that the Euclid will make on the marketplace,” said Baker.
Conversion were also very excited to develop an alliance with Scodix after seeing the new “dimension” their product gives the printed sheet as well as the huge interest that Scodix generated at Drupa 2012. A large number of printers produce excellent print, however in a crowded market place they need to stand out and offer their clients even more. Scodix SENSE™ adds an attractive tactile element inviting the consumer to fully interact with the printed sheet.
“This is a product that will open up more opportunities for printers and their clients” said Nixon. In a world of online media options, engaging the senses through print can help it evolve and remain high on the shopping list of brand owners.“Scodix certainly goes a long way in making this happen and we are confident about growing the Scodix business in Ireland& the UK,” concluded Nixon.
Amos Libermann, VP Sales, Europe commented that Scodix were delighted to partner with Conversion. "Conversion has been created to specifically address the markets that we are interested in. This gives us a perfect match in ambition and opportunities," said Libermann.
